In Olympia Washington alone around 50% of homeless individuals report mental health issues, many stemming from past incarceration or trauma related to the criminal justice system. Without access to stable housing, mental health services, or peer support, the cycle of homelessness and recidivism persists, further isolating individuals from community reintegration.

A Blessing Bag is a collection of essential items provided to people experiencing homelessness, typically containing food, hygiene products, socks, and warmth items like gloves or ponchos. In less than a month, these bags can provide immediate relief by meeting basic needs, improve hygiene and health, and offer emotional support through small gestures like motivational notes or a Bible. By restoring dignity through practical items like clean socks or grooming tools, Blessing Bags help individuals feel valued, boosting their self-esteem and empowering them to take steps toward stability and recovery.
