Homecare & Peer Support Counselor Background Story

My journey into homecare and peer support began long before it became my career. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where I learned early on the importance of compassion, resilience, and family. From a young age, I was deeply involved in caring for my loved ones — supporting five aunts, my mother, and my grandparents through every stage of life. I witnessed firsthand the challenges of aging, the struggles of mental health, and the impact of substance use. More importantly, I saw the strength it takes to recover, heal, and live with dignity.
